Diving With A Purpose

On my Facebook page, I shared an online article from National Geographic about Diving With a Purpose, a group that trains divers to find and conserve historical and cultural artifacts buried deep in the waters.

CRASH SITE touches upon the need for Black & Indigenous archaeologists to research their own history & present findings in their own words. The article discusses how, since its founding in 2003, DWP has trained some 500 divers to help archaeologists and historians search for and document such ships. The group’s goal is to help Black folks, in particular, find their own history and tell their own stories.” Read the full article to learn more about Diving With a Purpose.

Carey Baldwin has a new release today!

A completely unputdownable and twist-filled psychological thriller from USA Today bestselling author Carey Baldwin.
He married me despite my darkest secret. But am I safe now that I know his? From the outside, my marriage to Zach was perfect: dream home, a perfect baby girl and passionate, all-consuming love. When we met, I confessed my darkest secret to him and he never judged me for it. Instead, he vowed to always protect me whatever the cost.
But as I cradle my gorgeous baby, I have to accept that the husband who used to be my everything, has changed. At first it was little things: expecting me to keep to a strict schedule, picking out my clothes for me. Now, he controls every aspect of my life: from how much money I have, to when I leave the house and who I can see.
One fateful night, a young woman is found murdered and Zach is a potential suspect. Turning towards me, a look of warmth returning to his eyes, he swears he’s innocent, and I realize there is only one solution. If I agree to be his alibi, he will keep my secret and our daughter can grow up in a loving home. In that moment, I do what any faithful wife would do: I stand by him. But I know deep down, only one of us will make it out of this marriage alive.

Fans of The Wife Between Us, The Marriage and Gone Girl will be totally addicted to The Marriage Secret.

CRASH SITE (Fiona Carver #2)

Nine months after DANGEROUS GROUND (Fiona Carver #1), Fiona Carver has landed her dream assignment on Ruby Island–and has just learned that wildlife photographer Dean Slater is joining the team. But danger follows this couple around, and his arrival on the island is anything but smooth.

“Rachel Grant does it again! Engaging characters, gripping suspense, and steamy romance. CRASH SITE starts with a bang and delivers non-stop action.” — New York Times bestselling author Laura Griffin

For archaeologist Fiona Carver, the Caribbean glistens with untold menace in a heart-racing novel by Rachel Grant, USA Today bestselling author of Dangerous Ground.

Fiona Carver has landed a dream assignment: conducting an archaeological inventory of Ruby Island, a privately owned, pristine gem in the Caribbean. Two months in paradise exploring and mapping a lush rain forest, vast caves, and a seventeenth-century star fort and following up on legends of hidden Spanish gold. Add a simmering reunion with wildlife photographer Dean Slater and it’s enough to take Fiona’s breath away. But the sparkle fades when Dean’s arrival is met with sudden, terrifying danger.

Reunited and determined to see the project through, Fiona and Dean find themselves in a swirl of intrigue as they delve into the complex history of the unspoiled refuge, now a tropical haven for billionaires and their secrets. But the work isn’t easy, as someone appears determined to kill the project—by any means necessary.

As betrayal casts tropical storm clouds over Ruby Island and treasured friendships dissolve into distrust, one thing becomes clear: Fiona and Dean are trapped in a dangerous paradise.

Listen to CRASH SITE on Audible

Like DANGEROUS GROUND, CRASH SITE has 3 narrators: Eva Kaminsky, A.T. Chandler, and Nicola Lambo. Romance audiobook fans will likely be familiar with Eva Kaminsky and A.T. Chandler (although they might be more familiar with A.T.’s work as Aiden Snow), but triple threat actress Nicola Lambo (with a long list of amazing credits!) is newer to audiobook narration, and I am deeply honored she agreed to read two scenes written from the point of view of Sadie, a Jamaican archaeologist who plays a key role in CRASH SITE.

There aren’t enough words to convey how thrilled I am that Brilliance Audio once again made sure to cast a woman with the same ethnicity and nationality as the character she is narrating. Click on the link or image below to watch a video (make sure your sound is on) and enjoy a sample from one of Sadie’s scenes.
